Nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts rejoice—Sunshine Meadows hiking at Sunshine Village is now open.
Sunshine Meadows is known as one of the most stunning alpine settings in the Canadian Rockies. When in full bloom mid-summer, the meadows are ablaze with colourful wildflowers setting off the jaw-dropping views of surrounding peaks, including Mt. Assiniboine, “the Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies.”
This summer, Sunshine Village will offer guests enhanced dining options including freshly baked goods and fresh meat sandwiches, picnic lunches to take on your hike, and barbecues at the Mad Trapper’s Saloon in the village. The resort also boasts a retail space in Trapper’s filled with hiking essentials.
Canmore-based White Mountain Adventures runs a shuttle from Banff daily and hourly service from the Sunshine Village parking lot from June 16 until June 30 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and from July 1 until August 31 from 8:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
