by Tourism Canmore Kananaskis

The first ever Canmore Uncorked, a food and drink festival to celebrate Canmore’s remarkable dining experiences, will run from April 3rd through 12th.

The ten day festival will include nightly three-course fixed-price menus at more than 25 Canmore restaurants, progressive dinners, cooking courses, special events with local wine merchants and a festival passport that will give diners the opportunity to win a free meal at each of the participating restaurants.

“Canmore’s reputation as a year-round culinary destination continues to grow and the food scene in town is currently at its very best,” says Andrew Nickerson, president & CEO, Tourism Canmore Kananaskis. “Canmore Uncorked is a great opportunity to taste, experience and learn about our outstanding culinary offerings inspired by our incredible Rocky Mountain backdrop.”

Joe Gregory, operating partner of Tavern 1883, Canmore’s newest restaurant, is proud to be part of the vibrant Canmore restaurant and bar scene and the upcoming festival.

“With so many great establishments and with such variety, we hope to add to the overall Canmore culinary experience. We are also extremely pleased and excited to be part of the first Canmore Uncorked festival. We look forward to the event being a huge success and an annual celebration of food and beverages in Canmore,” says Gregory.

Tickets for festival events and hotel package deals will go on sale the week of March 3.

"I am excited that Canmore restaurateurs, hoteliers and retailers are coming together in a collaborative effort to develop a culinary tourism experience in the Bow Valley,” says James Kendal, General Manager, Tapas Restaurant.  “Canmore Uncorked really shows the evolution of our culinary industry and is just one more fantastic reason to visit and play in Canmore."
