by Mountain Park Lodges

Jasper’s largest hotel group, Mountain Park Lodges, is proud to announce the official opening of Jasper’s newest and most contemporary hotel, The Crimson, on Friday December 19th, 2014.

The Crimson name was inspired from the color in sunsets and fall foliage in Jasper National Park and epitomizes the Canadian colors represented in our Canadian flag and the uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

The Crimson complements the Mountain Park Lodges family of hotels that include the Lobstick and Marmot Lodges, Chateau Jasper, Pyramid Lake Resort and Pocahontas Cabins. In addition, Mountain Park Lodges are major shareholders and partners with Marmot Basin Ski Hill and The Jasper SkyTram.

This 99 room hotel offers a wide variety of guest room styles from Studio Kitchenettes to full Kitchen Suites and all guest rooms include in-room safe, mini fridge, microwave and wireless access.

The Crimson boasts a brand new indoor pool, hot tub and fitness facility and also houses C200 Restaurant, a casual, cutting-edge addition to Jasper’s dining scene. C200 echoes the warm notes and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel, and aims to become a dining destination in the Canadian Rockies. C200 features a Private Dining Room and can serve as a banquet facility.

Bernhard Schneider, General Manager of Mountain Park Lodges states, “This is an extremely exciting time not only for Mountain Park Lodges, but for Jasper, as it elevates the level of product and services available to traveling guests to our Destination”. Schneider further adds, “The interest and anticipation for The Crimson has been enormous during this past year from both our regional and international customers who have expressed a strong desire for some new and contemporary accommodation in Jasper”.

Mountain Park Lodges President John Day reiterates, “We felt very strongly that Jasper was in need of some new product in hotels. We also wanted new rooms that worked as well in the winter as in the summer. Day further emphasizes, “We think we have captured what our customers have told us they wanted with a uniquely Canadian flair in the very heart of a town that is the jewel of the Canadian Rockies”.

The Crimson is a relaxed , comfortable vantage point from which to experience the splendor of Jasper, and its sprinkled touches of its source color red connects guests back to the outdoors and to Canada.
