on Friday, April 4. This spectacular documentary embarks on a journey to the remote and wondrous world of Madagascar and highlights the incredible true story of nature’s greatest explorers, Lemurs, and is narrated by Academy Award® winner Morgan Freeman. The IMAX®3D release of Island of Lemurs: Madagascar is digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (Digital Re-mastering) technology. Crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customized theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are truly inside the movie.
Island of Lemurs: Madagascar reunites one of the film industry’s most distinctive voices, Freeman, with Drew Fellman, who also wrote and produced the 2011 IMAX documentary spectacle Born to Be Wild 3D. Island of Lemurs: Madagascar was directed by David Douglas and features trailblazing scientist Dr. Patricia Wright, an expert on Lemurs and the wildlife of Madagascar.
