Jasper, AB -- Getting to Jasper, Canada’s base of adventure, will get a whole lot easier this summer as Integra Air launches scheduled air service between Calgary and Edson.

Beginning June 6, 2016 flights in and out of Edson will connect Calgary adventurers to Yellowhead County, allowing them easier and faster access to Jasper National Park. A dedicated King Air B200 aircraft will service the route three days a week.

“Integra Air is extremely excited to bring air service to Edson, Hinton, Jasper and Yellowhead County,” says Integra Air CEO and Owner, John Macek. “Integra Air strives to provide a level of personalized service on all our routes which is second to none.”

Currently, the most direct route between Calgary and Jasper sees visitors driving five hours up along the stunning Icefields Parkway, 93 A. But with a flight time of only an hour, Integra Air’s new service will save those prepared to venture beyond three hours behind the wheel, with a total trip time of only three hours.

Bryan Attree, Managing Director at Tourism Jasper, applauds the hard work of the regional partnership that helped take this route from a vision to reality: “It’s been a long process to get to where we are today and it was only possible because of the commitment and dedication of our regional partnership,” says Attree. “This is the start of accessible air access into our region and we are excited that Calgary is the first scheduled service into the Edson airport.”
