Fat Biking near Canmore, AB- Photo Credit @stirlandraephoto

Wellness workouts are abundant throughout the year. We don’t let a little snow discourage us from working up a sweat outdoors, while simultaneously reconnecting with nature. For those especially winter days, there is always a pulse pumping workout to be had indoors as well.
  • Mindfulness in the mountains is easy to achieve during forest bathing sessions. Professional mountain guide Ronna Schneberger guides participants through snowshoe EcoYoga adventures near Canmore.
  • Designated fat biking trails can be found around each of our mountain resort communities. Our favourites include Pyramid Lake in Jasper National Park, the Canmore Nordic Centre (where Olympians train!) and along the Spray River in Banff.
  • Cross-country skiing is a major calorie burner, but you’ll be so distracted by the postcard worthy views it won’t feel like it’s a chore. The prettiest spots to glide through the woods are found along the Great Divide Trail in Lake Louise and the Pocaterra trail in Kananaskis Country, which has a warming hut.
  • Head indoors to Calgary’s UNDRCARD, a new fitness studio that merges boxing with music, art, food, culture and retail. Endorphins are fueled by the nightclub-inspired music paired with authentic boxing moves.
