Nothing beats getting out on the water to enjoy the summer sunshine and Kananaskis Outfitters
is offering two new ways to experience the alpine landscapes of Kananaskis Country from atop the crystal blue waters of the Canadian Rockies. Stand Up Paddleboarding and Voyageur Canoe Tours have been added to the summer 2015 roster.
But if water isn’t appealing, Kananaskis Outfitters offers tours and equipment rentals for all types of exploring this summer. This includes hiking the local trails system which offers a wide range of activities for people of all ages and abilities. Net pricing is available.
Alberta’s only Stand Up Paddleboarding
- The Stand Up Paddleboarding Tour is a must do. Participants will learn the basics before heading out as a group to explore the lake. Feel the freedom that comes from navigating your own board along the waters, soaking in your surroundings. Commonly practiced in tropical climates, this popular activity will provide a brand new perspective on the mountain scenery, unlike any other paddleboarding experience.
Voyageur Canoe Tour
- Or for a truly authentic Canadian expedition, the Voyageur Canoe Tour. Participants recount the exploration of the 18th
century and the significance of the early Voyageur explorers in Canadian History aboard the 25 foot voyager canoe. With nine participants to a boat, get a quick lesson before setting out for new exploration around Barrier Lake in Kananaskis Country.
Both tours are available for the summer 2015 season along with other Kananaskis Outfitters’ tours for all levels of hiking and mountain biking, interpretive walks and various paddling excursions. All tours include gear, safety equipment, and a professional guide knowledgeable in the Canadian Rocky Mountain. For smaller groups, a minimum tour booking two adults. For groups of six or more, group tour booking is available.
