Escape Today, at Heritage Park Historical Village!

by Heritage Park
This year it is easier to enjoy all that Heritage Park has to offer, with one combined price that includes full access to the Park and all of the rides. Explore the waters of the Glenmore Reservoir aboard the S.S. Moyie Paddle Wheel Boat, take a trip on a thundering steam train and get a birds-eye-view of the Park atop the antique Ferris Wheel– as often as you like. A general admission day pass is only $24.99. An Annual Pass or special Anniversary Pass pays for itself in less than three visits and is a great way to experience all that Heritage Park has to offer in 2014.
This season, guests can enjoy new musical melodramas in the Canmore Opera House and roving street theatre, courtesy of Rosebud Theatre and Heritage Park’s own theatrical troupe. Visitors to the First Nations Encampment can try their hand at using traditional hunting tools and play centuries-old games. Roving musicians will bring harmony to the streets and a new Kinsmen Club of Calgary Playground will provide families with a new picnic and play area to enjoy.
In celebration of Heritage Park’s 50th anniversary, two new exhibits will open this summer, and the Park’s special events will be bigger and better than ever. Visit for additional information.
On May 17, 18 and 19, the first 500 guests through the gates before 10:30 a.m. can enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast, with paid gate admission, served hot of the grill in Gunn’s Dairy Barn. A traditional Afternoon Tea will be served in the Wainwright Hotel’s upper Tea Room on Monday May 19, at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets for the tea are $16.95 plus GST and must be purchased in advance by calling 403-268-8500.
Heritage Park Historical Village is open daily from 9:30 a.m.–5 p.m., from May 17 until September 1, then weekends only until October 13.  Gasoline Alley Museum is open daily, year-round.
