Dark Matters Adult Take-Over at TELUS World of Science Edmonton

August 13, 2014
by TELUS World of Science Edmonton

The music’s on, the drinks are cold and the adults are running amok! Thursday, August 28, is a Dark Matters night at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton (TWOSE) where the science centre is open for adults ages 18+ and special programming is provided to make the evening special.
This month’s Dark Matters night features:
  • Special guest appearance by Andrew Foley, co-writer of the graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens. Foley will lead a candid and frank discussion about the creative process behind the graphic novel, his role in making it and what it led to (the good and the bad);
  • A massive Laser Tag Shoot-Out, sponsored by Bounceroo! Party Rentals, where adults can work out their frustration and take the competition to a new level;
  • One-night-only screening of Serenity - a Joss Whedon film, starring Edmonton's own Nathan Fillion - in the IMAX Theatre (separate ticket required); and
  • Out-of-this-world transformations from Theatre Garage who will be on site transforming guests into cowboys or aliens.
Tickets for Dark Matters are $14 in advance and $20 at the door (+GST). A cash bar will be open during the event and all guests must be 18 years or older. TWOSE members receive special pricing. Tickets for Serenity are an additional $6.95 per person.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
