by Tourism Canmore Kananaskis

With support from all over Alberta, the communities of Canmore and Kananaskis are working to restore the area and are looking forward to a summer full of breath-taking scenery, incredible adventures, and remarkable dining experiences.

There was significant damage to some of Canmore's residential communities such as Cougar Creek and Benchlands. Downtown Canmore and the vast majority of hotels were unaffected by the flood. Almost all of the activity providers and restaurants in Canmore are open. Kananaskis Country also received heavy flooding damaging the highways in and out of the region as well as the Kananaskis Country Golf Course.
