The United Kingdom’s largest ski tour operator clients have confirmed Banff is best by awarding the Park with a Crystal Award.
Crystal Ski & Snowboard, the United Kingdom’s largest ski tour operator, has released the results of their recent 2011/12 season customer survey, revealing that Banff National Park, home to Lake Louise Ski Resort, Sunshine Village Ski Resort and Mount Norquay, is truly the land of slope and glory for skiers and snowboarders.
Asked to score a variety of components that defined their overall ski holiday, including snow conditions, accommodations and ease of access, Crystal Ski & Snowboard customers rated Banff National Park “Best Overall Resort” against 160 ski resorts around the world.
“The results confirm for us that skiers and snowboarders are drawn to the natural abundance of dry, light powder and stunning scenery for which Banff National Park’s resorts are famous,” said Michael Brabin, Senior Product Manager at Crystal Ski & Snowboard. “The park also offers an enormous amount of skiable terrain so you can always count on an absence of lift lines and it’s great value for money.”
With a single, convenient tri-area pass from Ski Banff Lake Louise Sunshine that gives skiers and snowboarders access to all three world-class resorts, Banff National Park also offers powder hounds of all abilities the opportunity to explore every type of terrain; from gentle groomers and gigantic bowls to steep chutes and tricky terrain parks, all set amidst the pristine and awe-inspiring setting of the magnificent Rocky Mountains.
This ski season in Banff National Park also saw the introduction of a new, customized ski app, Rockies Replay, which allows users to measure their performance on the slopes against others, and to earn medals for achieving a variety of milestones at each of the three resorts.
